Application Process

1.1 
We will check the information you give to us with someone else, so before you apply for a Branded Card Company Proof GB card you will
need to arrange for a person who is known to you to agree to confirm the information that you give us is correct. In order for us to do that,
you will need to give us some information about them too.

1.2
That person will need to be either your Teacher, Tutor, Head of Year, or school/college/university Administrator (term-time only), Careers/Connexions Advisor, Librarian, Dentist, Doctor, Optician, Pharmacist, Vet, Elected Local Authority Councillor, Judge, Sheriff, Magistrate, Barrister, Solicitor, Bank Manager, Accountant, MP, MEP, AM, MLA, MSP, Minister or other Official of Religion, Police Officer,
Police Civilian Staff, Trading Standards or Environmental Health Officer or Staff, Teacher, Tutor or Lecturer They must not be related to
you and your referee may make a charge for doing this.

1.3
If you are under 16 you will also need a parent or guardian to sign your application form on your behalf.

1.4
The details you have provided about yourself and the name and contact information for the person for us to contact on your behalf will
be put into a secure   database. Your application form will also   be copied and held on the same secure database.

1.5
We will then process your application by checking with the person that the information that you have given us is true and correct.
When we have done that, and as long as everything is OK, we will issue your card to you.

1.6
The contact information you provided to us for your referee will then be removed from our database.

1.7
All other information that is yours and details of a parent or guardian, if you are under 16, will be kept on our secure database.


Personal information

2.1
Personal information means information:

•  you give us, or we already hold or may obtain, about you including any phone number you call us from, which we may record;
•  we receive from the enquiries that we make so we can make a decision on your application to, or agreement with, us or any member of Branded Card Company:
•  we obtain from searches made by us or any member or partner of Valid Data Systems in your name with credit reference and fraud
prevention agencies and insurance claim registers;
•  about any account which you, or any member of your household, holds with or through us; and
•  information we receive from anyone who is allowed to give us (or any member of Branded Card Company) information about you.

Holding personal information

We will only keep your personal information for as long as we need to or are allowed to by law. You have certain rights to receive a copy
of the personal information that we hold on you and details from where it has been received.

2.3
Releasing personal information to agencies

2.3.1
We may reveal your personal information to:

•  any person working for us (including any member of Branded Card Company);

•  credit reference and fraud prevention agencies and any other parties as required by law;

•  any organisation which underwrites or backs any of our products which you hold;

•  any payment, loyalty or event system under which we issue your card;

•  any person we transfer any of our rights or duties to under any agreement we may have with you; and

•  anyone you authorise us to give personal information to.

2.3.2
If over 18, Credit reference agencies when we search their records about you. They will record details of our searches. We will also release information to credit reference agencies about any account which you hold with us. Information held by credit reference agencies may be linked to other people who you have a financial association with.

2.3.3
Fraud prevention agencies. If you give us false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will tell them this.

2.3.4
The credit reference and fraud prevention agencies will share search details and account information with us and other organisations so that we and they might:

•  assess applications for credit and related services, and manage accounts and insurance policies with you or members of your household;

•  check your identity in compliance with money laundering law;

•  prevent, detect or prosecute fraud and other crimes;

•  recover and trace debts; and

•  check details of job applicants and employees.

2.3.5
The fraud prevention agencies will share records with other organisations to help make decisions on proposals for, and claims against,
motor, household, credit, life and other insurance, for you and members of your household.

2.3.6
The credit reference and fraud prevention agencies will also use personal information for statistical analysis about credit and insurance

a legal right to these details.


General

3.1.1
We will monitor or record all phone calls.

3.1.2
You must send any written notice to us at the address shown below. We will send any written notice or request to you at the address we hold for you or your last known address. We will always treat you as having received the notice or request at that address.

3.1.3
We may transfer our rights or duties under this agreement or arrange for any other person to carry out our rights or duties under this agreement. You may not transfer any of your rights or duties under this agreement.

3.1.4
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales.

3.1.5
Branded Card Company compliesfully with Data Protection and Privacy laws of the United Kingdom and observe all Human Rights conventions in both direct and indirect business affairs

3.1.6
If you want to change your details or inform us if your card has been lost or stolen you can contact us at the address below or administrator@brandedcardco.com quoting your name and card number.


Cancellation, Changes and Complaints

4.1
If you want to leave the scheme and cancel your card you can contact us at the address below or administrator@brandedcardco.com
quoting your name and card number.

4.2
If any changes are made in the future to the Branded Card Company data protection policy Branded Card Company cardholders will be informed directly and in advance.

4.3
If you have any further queries about the way Branded Card Company collects or stores personal data please contact us at the address

4.4
If you would like to make a complaint about   the service you have received from Branded Card Company, or any aspect of your dealings
